Summary: This report provides state-level entities and institutions with a practical guide for improving their noncredit data infrastructure through (1) the presentation of a noncredit data taxonomy, (2) operational definitions of data elements included in state datasets, (3) a how-to guide for entities interested in improving noncredit data collection, and (4) implications for multiple sectors seeking to improve their noncredit data. The taxonomy and how-to guide included in this report is a refinement of the original versions based on work with the SNDP’s second phase of states.
